I’m angry! In the last few days a “righteous anger” has come on me. I am tired of the devil and his attacks on my life and so many precious people I care about. Health issues, depression, financial problems, marital problems, drug and alcohol addictions, and even death. Friends, this is a real spiritual battle we are in...Satan’s number one priority is to kill, steal, and destroy. He will do anything and everything he can to kill your dreams, steal your purpose, and destroy your life.
The Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 6, “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” God wouldn’t instruct Paul to tell us to put on armor if this wasn’t a battle. You only wear armor in a battle. Often times we let the devil attack us over and over and just accept it as “life.” No more! We have to get serious and fight him. The awesome thing is, God has equipped us with all we need to win this battle!
Keep in mind, you are not fighting with flesh and blood (your spouse, co-worker, or family member) you are fighting Satan and the assignments against your life. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Often times we want to get mad at someone else and blame them, but the person you need to get angry at, is Satan. He hates you. He wants you to doubt God, give up on your faith, and walk away from everything you know as Truth -- God and His Word.
I Timothy 6:12 says, “Fight the good fight of faith.” Another translation says, “We have to fight to keep our faith.”
I challenge you right now, to get your armor on, get mad at the devil and take a stand! Reclaim what is yours! Don’t lay around and let him attack you and you do nothing about it. Fight him! Tell Him, “If its a fight you want, then bring it on! I’m here to stand and I’m not going anywhere! You don’t control my life! You have no authority and no power over me! You can’t have my children. You can’t have my marriage. You have no control over my finances or my health. I am a child of God. I am strong. I am victorious. I am taking back what is rightfully mine!”
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
