What Are You Magnifying On?

So what have been your most dominate thoughts lately? Discouragement? Hopelessness? Failure? If so, then it’s time to change your mindset and focus on what your life CAN BE filled with - joy, peace, success, and love that only Jesus can provide.  The world can offer us a taste of these things, but there is nothing MORE FULFILLING than what Jesus can provide!  It’s never temporary and it’s never conditional!

It’s so easy to get overwhelmed and fixated on the giant mountain in front of you, rather than concentrating on the steps of faith it takes to climb over it.  Life is a journey of good and bad, but our attitude in the journey will determine the outcome.

I’ve learned over the course of my life that the peace Jesus offers (read John 16:33) is not something that just falls on you…it’s something you must seek and go after.  I Peter 3:11 says to search for peace and seek it eagerly.

I want to encourage you today to get a list of confessions that you can say (either written down or memorized) and speak them when you catch yourself magnifying the problem in your mind.

These are a few things I say when I notice that I’m starting to mediate on the problem:

“God is in control!”

“I will praise You in the storm.”

“You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You.”

“I am more than a conqueror.”

“I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”

“My steps are directed by You.”

“You came to give me abundant life.”

“You are able to do exceeding abundantly above all I could ask or think.”

You begin to speak positive faith confessions like that, and you can immediately change your attitude and emotions in a challenging situation.  Your faith will begin to kick in and you’ll stop focusing on all that’s wrong.  Instead, you’ll begin expecting and looking out for all God is working out in your behalf.

REFUSE to magnify the problems.  Never give the devil the satisfaction of thinking, He has won.  Praise God REGARDLESS of what’s going on in your life right now - confuse the enemy by your praise.  Lift your hands and just begin thanking God, right in the middle of the storm.

Focus on His goodness.

Focus on His provision.

Focus on His way of escape.

Focus on His love for you.

Focus on His favor.

And while you’re focusing on all of that, one day you’ll look up and be standing right in the middle of your manifestation, of your harvest, of your breakthrough!! Don’t you dare give up…it’s on its way!
